Bridge Builder Excellence Program

South Carolina accomplishments are often overlooked resulting in a lack of respect and opportunities. The South Carolina Football Hall of Fame honors our football leaders and their stories of success to educate, encourage, and empower excellence in our students and communities.

The Bridge Builder Excellence Award recognizes high school football student athletes who show excellence on the field, in the classroom (3.2 core GPA or better), and in their communities. Nominations are sent in annually from school administrators and coaches. We hold an annual event for nominees on BBEADay, that includes a certificate of excellence ceremony, media training, leadership tips, and NIL education, and more.

As part of our ongoing commitment to developing leaders both on and off the field, the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame presents the Leadership Minute—a series of inspiring, educational messages that highlight the character and resiliency education standards promoted by the SCDE. Each episode encourages personal growth and community leadership, helping shape the next generation of Bridge Builders across South Carolina. It starts with you.
