Michele McGee Wolfert has a wealth of experience in annual giving, corporate sponsorships, and event management.  Previous experience includes positions with Rhino Sports & Entertainment, Greensboro Swarm (Charlotte Hornets’ G League Team) after serving as Executive Director of the College of Charleston Cougar Club.  Previous experience includes stints at the Georgia Tech Athletic Association and Virginia Tech Athletics.

Wolfert earned her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and a Master’s of Sport Administration at Ohio University.   Her uncle, Mike McGee, is the former Director of Athletics at the University of South Carolina. Her father, Jerry, Mike’s twin is considered one of the most distinguished high school athletic administrators in the country.

“As the daughter, niece, sister, and mother of those participating in the game of football, no one’s life has been impacted by the game any more than mine.   I have had the privilege of having a front row seat to knowing how the game and education can positively impact a person’s life.”

Michele has dedicated her life and family to athletic and academic excellence. She brings that dedication to the South Carolina Football Hall of Fame as the Executive Director. Her mission is to educate, encourage, and empower excellence in our South Carolina youth in order to lead them to the Top 10 nationally in college and career readiness by December 31, 2030. Michele is the first woman in South Carolina Football Hall of Fame history to be a recipient of an award.
